5/4/2022 MLB DFS News and Notes

5/4

Slate Overview:

  • Games: 7

  • Weather Concerns:

  • Rain:

  • LAA@BOS

  • WAS@COL

  • Wind:

  • WAS@COL - Wind blowing in 9-11 MPH.

  • SFG@LAD - Wind blowing out to left 11-13 MPH.

Things that stand out to me:

  • Gonslin's xFIP and SEIRA are significantly higher than his ERA...he has upped his GB rate...could be some negative regression coming his way.

  • NYY hitters are crushing LHPs this year.

  • Seya Suzuki or Pat Wisdom

  • Rowdy Tellez or Christian Yelich

Game by Game

  • MIN@BAL

  • Kyle Bradish

  • Bradish was an absolute stud in the minors but got knocked around a bit by the Red Sox, I'm not out on him yet.

  • $5.5K on DK going up against a team with 5 hitters with a K rate over 27% v RHPs this year.

  • 5 Twins have an ISO less than .100 v RHPs this year and none in the lineup today have an ISO over .165 v RHPs this year.

  • Dylan Bundy

  • Had a bad outing vs the Rays but I think we can all agree that the O's aren't anywhere near as scary as the Rays.

  • 7 O's hitters have over a 20% K rate to RHPs this year.

  • 5 hitters have an ISO less and .100 v RHPs this year.

  • Odor, hayes, Santander, and Mullins are the ones to focus on if you want to stack against.

  • NYY@TOR

  • Nestor Cortez Jr

  • 5 TOR hitters have an ISO of .000 v LHPs this year.

  • Springer, Bichette, and Espinal all have ISOs over .300 v LHPs.

  • 7 TOR hitters with K rates over 22% v LHPs this year.

  • Yusei Kikuchi

  • 6.29 xFIP, .250 ISO allowed to LHHs, and a .293 ISO to RHHs.

  • Yankees as a team have a .240 ISO v LHPs this year.

  • LeMahieu, Judge, Rizzo, and Stanton all have ISOs over .200 v LHPs this season.

  • LAA@BOS

  • Reid Demtmers

  • 6 BOS hitters have a sub .100 ISO v LHPs this year.

  • Not a good K matchup.

  • Hernandez and Martinez are the only Red Sox I would look to.

  • Gerrit Whitlock

  • Short leash but if he gets enough innings the guy can rack up fantasy points with a 30% K rate.

  • 8 LAA batters with a K rate over 20% (6 over 25%)

  • Would only look to Trout, Marsh, Ohtani, Stassi

  • CWS@CHC

  • Kyle Hendricks

  • Giving up an ISO over .200 to both sides of the plate.

  • Only Harrison has an ISO over .150 v RHPs this year.

  • Only 2 White Sox striking out more than 20% of the time to RHPs this year.

  • Lucas Giolito

  • Rivas, Wisdom, Suzuki, and Contreras all have ISOs over .150 v RHPs this year.

  • Gio has a 38% K rate this year, 7 CHC batters have a K rate over 20% v RHPs this year.

  • CIN@MIN

  • Vlad Gutierrez

  • 8.52 xFIP!!!!

  • .364 ISO allowed to LHHs.

  • 4 LHHs in MILs LU tonight, focus Wong, Adames, Yelich, Tellez.

  • Freddy Peralta

  • Only allowing a .034 ISO to LHHs this year but allowing a .154 ISO to RHHs.

  • 6 CIN hitters striking out more than 20% of the time with 4 of them striking out more than 30% of the time v RHPs this year.

  • Would only worry about Drury/Pham/

  • SFG@LAD

  • Tony Gonslin

  • 3 Man stack of Vosler, Bart, Pederson.

  • Only allowing a .065 ISO or LHHs and .032 ISO to RHHs this year but has a 5.21 xFIP which means he has some regression coming soon.

  • Alex Wood

  • 6 Dodgers striking out more than 20% of the time.

  • He is giving up a .214 ISO to LHHs and a .159 ISO to RHHs this season.

  • Bellinger, Taylor, Smith, and Freeman all have ISOs over .185 v LHPs this year.
